DISC is a behavioral assessment framework that measures four dimensions of personality: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Conscientiousness. Developed from the work of psychologist William Moulton Marston in the 1920s, DISC helps you understand how you communicate, handle conflict, make decisions, and work with others. The free assessment is five short scenarios. In each one you put four responses in order, from most like you to least like you, and our server turns your rankings into four scores and one of 25 types. Five scenarios give a first read. The 28-question assessment asks the same kind of question across work, conflict, stress, change and relationships, and always asks all 28. More answers make the scores steadier, so treat the free result as a starting point.
Your answers go to our server, which scores them. We save the answers, your scores and DISC type, a random session ID, your browser's user-agent string, and the country our host detects from your connection. If you are signed out, that record carries no name or email address, and no account is created. If you ask us to email your result, we also keep that address. We never sell your data. The privacy policy lists everything we store and how long we keep it.
You answer realistic scenarios by ranking four responses, from most like you to least like you, instead of rating adjectives one at a time. Your free result appears on the page as soon as you finish, with no account and no payment. Emailing yourself the result is optional. The 25 types, the interactive report and the AI chat assistant are the other differences.

DISC was first described by William Moulton Marston in his 1928 book Emotions of Normal People (Jones & Hartley, 2013, American Journal of Business Education). Published research on DISC-style questionnaires differs from one instrument to the next, and WiredType has not published reliability figures for its own assessment.
