Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 3, 2026
The short version. We collect the minimum data needed to deliver your DISC assessment and reports. We never sell your data. You can delete your account and everything we know about you at any time by emailing privacy@wellerdeveler.com.
1. Who we are
DISC Profile is operated by WellerDeveler, an independent publisher based in New Jersey, United States. Throughout this policy, "we," "us," and "our" refer to DISC Profile by WellerDeveler. Our primary website is wiredtype.com.
We offer a free DISC personality screener, paid in-depth reports, and an optional Pro subscription that unlocks ongoing coaching features. This policy explains what we collect when you use any of those services and what we do with it.
2. What we collect
Assessment responses
When you take a DISC assessment we record your answers and the resulting DISC profile. If you are not signed in, this data is anonymous and is kept only long enough to generate your results and improve the assessment in aggregate.
Account information (optional)
If you create an account we collect your email address and, if you choose to provide it, your name. You can use an email alias if you prefer.
Payment information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, or bank credentials. We receive a payment confirmation, the last four digits of the card, the billing country, and a Stripe customer ID so we can match the purchase to your account and issue receipts or refunds.
AI coach conversations
If you use our AI coaching or chatbot features, the messages you send and the responses we return are processed by OpenAI and retained by us long enough to deliver the feature, prevent abuse, and (if you opt in) improve your experience over time. You can clear your chat history at any time from your account page.
Usage analytics
We log basic product analytics such as pages visited, time on page, referring site, approximate location derived from IP, device type, and browser. This helps us understand which parts of the product are working and which are not. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not run third-party ad-tech pixels on this site.
Support communications
If you email us for support we retain the conversation so we can follow up and look up your history if you contact us again.
3. How we use it
- Deliver the product. Generate your DISC report, personalize content to your type, and unlock features you have paid for.
- Process payments. Charge your card, issue receipts, handle refunds, and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
- Send transactional email. Receipts, password resets, account notices, and, if you have an active subscription, important billing notifications.
- Improve the product. Analyze aggregate, anonymized data to improve question quality, scoring accuracy, and report content.
- Respond to support. Look up your account and resolve issues when you contact us.
- Prevent abuse. Detect automated scraping, payment fraud, and misuse of our AI features.
We do not use your assessment answers, reports, or AI conversations to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
5. Your rights
Regardless of where you live, you can:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Export your assessment results and account data in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and all associated data. Deletion is permanent.
- Opt out of any non-essential email. Transactional email (receipts, security notices) will continue as long as you have an active account.
EU, UK, and EEA users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to object to processing, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our legal basis for processing is (a) performance of a contract when you buy a report or subscription, (b) your consent when you take the assessment or use the AI coach, and (c) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service.
California residents (CCPA and CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete that information, the right to correct inaccuracies, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@wellerdeveler.com. We will respond within 30 days.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:
- Essential cookies. Keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, and protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be disabled without breaking the site.
- Product analytics. First-party analytics to understand which features are used.
- Google AdSense. Some pages display Google AdSense advertising, which may set cookies to serve ads. You can learn more and manage ad personalization at Google Ads Settings.
We do not use third-party marketing or retargeting pixels beyond Google AdSense, and we do not sell browsing data.
7. Data retention
We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations.
- Anonymous assessment sessions: up to 12 months, then aggregated and purged.
- Active account data: as long as your account is active.
- Deleted accounts: purged within 30 days, except backups which rotate out within 90 days.
- Payment records: retained for 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
- AI coach conversations: retained until you delete them or close your account.
8. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+), encryption at rest for the database, row-level access controls in Supabase, hashed passwords, and least-privilege access for team members. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable commercial steps to protect your information and we will notify you promptly if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data.
9. Children's privacy
DISC Profile is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, email privacy@wellerdeveler.com and we will delete it. Users between 13 and 18 should have a parent or guardian review this policy before using the service.
10. International users
We are based in the United States and process data in the United States. If you access the service from outside the U.S., you understand that your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have different privacy laws than your country of residence. Where required, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes (such as new categories of data we collect or new third parties we share with) we will notify account holders by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
