Terms of Service

Effective October 22, 2026.

We published this version on September 25, 2026 and revised it on September 30, October 1, October 2, October 5, October 6, October 11, October 15 and October 20, 2026. It takes effect on October 22, 2026. From October 15, 2026, this version and the previous one are between you and WiredType LLC, which runs WiredType. The Essentials reading rule was added in the version dated October 8, 2026 and applies to Essentials bought from the time that version is published. It lets you read all three sections before deciding whether to keep the report. The other changes on this page take effect October 22, 2026. Until then, the previous version applies, with three exceptions. The Essentials reading rule applies as described above. The Unused credits paragraph applies from October 2, 2026. From October 20, 2026, a report you buy after the free test and before you take the 28-question assessment opens the moment you pay, as section 5 describes.

The short version. WiredType helps you understand yourself and communicate better. Do not use it for medical, psychological, or employment decisions. The free assessment costs nothing. Paid reports are one-time purchases with a 7-day guarantee, once per account. Reading all three Essentials sections keeps the guarantee open for Essentials bought under the October 8, 2026 Essentials policy version, and downloading its PDF ends it. For other reports, you can ask for a refund while you have read only the Overview and have not downloaded the PDF. Older purchases keep the windows they were sold under. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel from your account page at any time.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using WiredType (the "Service") you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms form a binding contract between you and WiredType LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company ("WiredType," "we," "us," or "our"). You must be 18 years of age or older to create an account, to buy a report or team seats, to start a subscription, or to use the AI coach. The free five-question screener is open to everyone and creates no account. You must be 16 or older to open a comparison and confirm this before it opens. When you create an account, and before your first message to the AI coach, we ask for your date of birth. If the date shows you are under 18, we do not create the account or start the chat, and we keep nothing from that screen except a count of refusals. If we learn that an account belongs to a person under 18, we close the account, stop the AI coach on it, and delete its data. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

2. What we provide

WiredType offers:

  • A free DISC personality screener and basic profile card.
  • We offer two paid in-depth reports: the Essentials report ($9.95) and the Full Profile ($29.95). If you own Essentials, you can upgrade to the Full Profile by paying the difference: $20, or $10 if you bought Essentials at $19.95 before October 11, 2026.
  • Team seats, priced in bands by seat count, sold as a one-time purchase with no expiry.
  • Educational content about the DISC behavioral model.

Four features use AI models to write text for you: the AI coach chat, the writing-sample analysis, team pair reports, and the wording of some emails and replies, matched to your type. The AI coach is software, not a person, and it is not a therapist, counselor, or licensed professional of any kind. AI output can be wrong or incomplete, so treat it as a starting point for your own judgment. Our AI Use page lists every AI feature, what each one sends, and the crisis resources the coach gives.

Customer support by email is part of the Service, and the WiredType Care Team, our AI support team, provides it. It answers your email, gives the refunds the refund policy allows, and makes the account changes you ask for. It never turns a refund down: a person at WiredType decides any refund the Care Team cannot give. You can ask for a person at any time. When you do, the Care Team passes your conversation to a person at WiredType, who reads it and replies to you by email. A person at WiredType also reviews any answer you dispute.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice for paid features. This does not let us end or reduce the Founder's Circle discount in section 4.

3. Accounts

You can use the free assessment without an account. To buy reports, start a subscription, or save your results across devices, you need an account. Team seats bought from the team pricing page can be paid for before signing in.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at hello@wiredtype.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • One account per person. Do not share accounts, sell accounts, or create accounts on behalf of others without authorization.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.
  • You can delete your account at any time with Delete my account on your account page. It cancels any active subscription, deletes your account and its data as described in our Privacy Policy, and cannot be undone.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method. Your card statement shows our charges as WIREDTYPE. A purchase made before September 14, 2026 shows WELLERDEVELER, the name on our earlier payment account.

One-time purchases

The Essentials report ($9.95) and the Full Profile ($29.95) are one-time purchases. If you own Essentials, you can upgrade to the Full Profile by paying the difference: $20, or $10 if you bought Essentials at $19.95 before October 11, 2026. You keep access to what you bought for as long as the Service remains available. A paid report edition stays available to you as you bought it: when we improve a report, you receive the new edition at no charge and keep the earlier one, and both stay on your reports page. An edition update is a service notice, sent once. Team seats are one-time purchases. Seats do not expire and nothing renews. Added seats take the band their position in your new total falls in; seats already paid for stay as paid. The 15-seat team package sold before September 13, 2026 also has no expiry. If a report is refunded or charged back, the access it provided is removed and the AI credits it added are taken back, up to the credits left on your account.

Member prices. While you have Plus or Pro, including the free month of Plus, you pay 10 percent less for credit packs and for report upgrades, and checkout shows your price before you pay. A member price counts as the purchase's one discount under section 4. If another discount you hold saves you more, we apply that one instead. What you bought at a member price stays yours when your plan ends, and we never charge the difference.

Subscriptions

A subscription plan, when one is on sale on the pricing page, is billed automatically at the start of each monthly or yearly period until canceled. If you buy Plus or Pro during your free month, we charge nothing until the free month ends. If you buy in its last four days, your first payment is on the date the checkout page shows you, at least four days after you buy. Your first payment is on that date, and the page where you pay shows it. You can cancel online before then and you are not charged at all. By starting a subscription you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. We email a reminder 3 days before each monthly renewal, and 40 days and 7 days before each yearly renewal. On a monthly plan we also email you 25 to 40 days before the renewal that falls on or after each anniversary of the day you started. If you buy a plan during your free month, we email you at least four days before your first payment. You can cancel at any time from your account page or from the Stripe billing portal linked there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then. When the period ends, the plan's monthly AI credits end with it; AI credits that did not come from the plan stay on your account. Canceling does not refund part of a period.

You can move between Free, Plus and Pro, monthly or yearly, on any day from your plan page. Before you confirm, the page shows what you pay today, when the change starts, your next payment and its date. A move from Plus to Pro starts at once: you pay the difference for the rest of the period you already paid for, and your renewal date stays the same. If the difference is under 50 cents, it is not charged. A move from Pro to Plus, and a switch between monthly and yearly billing, starts when the period you paid for ends, and nothing is charged or refunded for the rest of that period. Moving to Free cancels your renewal, and you keep your plan until the period ends. You can undo a change that has not started yet. We email a confirmation of every change.

Pricing changes

We may change prices for new purchases or future billing periods. For active subscriptions, we will give you at least 14 days notice by email before a price change takes effect, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

Taxes

Prices are in U.S. dollars. Where the law requires it, sales tax is added at checkout and shown before you pay. Where it is not, the price shown at checkout is the amount charged. Checkout does not add VAT or GST. Outside the United States, Stripe's checkout may show the amount in your own currency, and your bank may charge a fee because the payment is processed in the United States.

The Founder's Circle

Who is in it. You are in the Founder's Circle if your first arrival at WiredType through a person's card, link or code came through the founder's own card, link or code. Your place is set at that first arrival, and later arrivals do not change it. Members cannot bring others into the circle.

The discount. Members receive 25 percent off the checkout price of the reports they buy for themselves on WiredType. It does not apply to team seats, printed items, or orders paid by invoice.

One discount per purchase. Each purchase takes one discount, and we apply the one that saves you the most. Share codes, founders cards and member prices do not combine with the circle discount or with each other. A credit for a report you already own is not a discount, and it still applies.

Refunds and value. A refund returns what you paid after the discount. The discount has no cash value, belongs to your account, and cannot be sold or transferred.

How long it lasts. For life means for as long as you keep your WiredType account, and the discount has no end date. It ends if you close your account, or if we close it under section 3 or section 8 for fraud or abuse. Prices may change under Pricing changes above, and the discount applies to the price when you buy. We will not end or reduce the discount under section 2 or section 14. If a purchase that qualifies is charged without the discount, write to hello@wiredtype.com and we will refund the difference.

5. Refund policy

Reading Essentials. For Essentials bought from the publication of the October 8, 2026 Essentials policy version, you can read Overview, Profile and Strengths & Growth and still ask for a refund within 7 days of purchase. This guarantee can be used once per account. This gives you time to read Essentials and decide whether it helps you. Earlier purchases keep the policy they were sold under. Full reports, upgrades and plans keep their existing refund rules.

Full plain-English details on cancellation, refund windows, and auto-renewal live on our Refund & Cancellation Policy page. The summary below controls for legal purposes.

Purchases keep the policy they were bought under. Anything bought before 7:30 PM US Eastern time on September 17, 2026 keeps the 30-day windows of that time (and the day-31-to-90 partial refunds for yearly plans and the team package). The paragraphs below apply to purchases made at or after that time.

Delivery and consent. A new report is supplied when you finish the 28-question assessment. From October 20, 2026, if you buy a report after the free test and before you take the 28-question assessment, the report is supplied the moment you pay and opens with the type from your free result. It opens on the Overview, and a section counts as opened only when you move past the Overview, so your 7-day refund stays as it was. Section 1 of the Refund Policy explains when the refund ends. If you finish the 28 questions later, your report switches to the result from those questions. The upgrade from Essentials to Full is supplied the moment you pay. Before you pay, the order window states when delivery starts and the conditions of the 7-day guarantee, and paying is your agreement to these terms. If you are in the European Economic Area (the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) or the United Kingdom, you also check a box before you pay. Checking it is your express consent for us to start supplying your report, or the sections your upgrade adds, at the time the box states, and your acknowledgment that you lose your 14-day right to cancel them once they are delivered. Your receipt repeats what you agreed to. Unused AI credits in the EEA and the UK. If you bought Essentials, Full or the upgrade from the EEA or the United Kingdom, you can cancel the AI credits that came with it within 14 days of purchase while they are unused. Half of what you paid is the price of those credits, spread evenly across them: about 10 cents a credit for Essentials, Full and the upgrade at today's prices, about 20 cents for Essentials bought at $19.95, and about 5 cents for an upgrade bought at $10. We refund that amount for each unused credit and remove those credits, and your report stays open. This applies whether or not the 7-day guarantee is still open and whether or not your account has used it; when both apply, you get the larger amount once. Use Request a refund on your account page.

One-time purchases. You can ask for a report refund within 7 days of purchase by pressing Request a refund on your account page. This guarantee can be used once per account. For Essentials bought under the October 8, 2026 Essentials policy version, you can read all three sections, and you must not have downloaded its PDF. If you bought Essentials before October 12, 2026 and your refund is still open, we ask before your first download, and the refund ends only if you go ahead. For other reports, you must have read only the Overview, the report's first section, and you must not have downloaded its PDF. The refund is in full if none of the AI credits the report added has been used; if some have been used, each one takes off the report's price divided by the number of credits it added, counting as used the credits it added less the credits your account still holds, and never fewer than zero, rounded to the nearest cent (for reports bought on or after October 22, 2026). Otherwise the 7-day guarantee does not apply, and the purchase is final except for a report with a defect, described next, and any right the law gives you that cannot be excluded (see Consumers in Australia below). A report with a defect (a missing, blank, or unrendered section, a PDF that will not open, text for a type other than the one you were scored as, or a scoring result you can show is wrong) is repaired at no charge; where we cannot repair it, we refund the purchase in full or, if you prefer, credit the price toward another edition or a bundle, at any time while you hold the report. If you buy the upgrade from Essentials to Full on or after October 22, 2026, you can get a refund of it within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have not opened any of the sections the upgrade adds and have not downloaded the Full PDF. Team seats: inside 14 days of payment, unassigned seats (no member and no pending invitation) are refunded at the price of the last seat positions you paid for; assigned seats are not refunded. To refund a seat you have already invited someone to, cancel that invitation first. Your team stays open with the seats it keeps. A team package paid by invoice before September 13, 2026 keeps its own rules.

Credit packs. A credit pack is refunded in full if you ask within 7 days of buying it and have spent none of its credits. Use Request a refund on your account page. Credits from all your purchases sit in one balance, so a pack counts as unspent while your account still holds at least as many credits as the pack added. The refund takes back the credits the pack added. After 7 days, or once any of its credits is spent, a change-of-mind refund is no longer available. This does not limit a refund for a pack that did not work, or any right the law gives you that cannot be excluded (see Consumers in Australia below).

Unused credits. Credits you buy never expire, and we charge no fee for credits you have not used. When you delete your account, we refund the credits you bought and have not used to the card or account you paid with, at the price you paid for them, including tax, less any part of that purchase already refunded. When your packs cost different amounts, the credits left are counted from your newest packs. The refund is made before anything is deleted. The delete screen shows the amount before you confirm, and the receipt email repeats it. If you have used some of your bought credits and less than $5 worth is left, we pay you that amount in cash when you ask. To ask, write to hello@wiredtype.com. Credits that came with a report, a plan or a referral are not refunded, because you did not pay for them separately. Credits from a report or a referral work while your account is open and end when you delete it. A plan's monthly credits end when the plan's period ends, as section 4 says. This paragraph applies from October 2, 2026, before the rest of this version takes effect.

Subscriptions. You can cancel at any time. Canceling stops future charges and leaves your access in place until the end of the period you paid for; it does not refund part of that period. The first charge of a plan is refunded if you ask within 7 days of the charge, in full if none of the plan's credits has been used and otherwise less the charge divided by the credits the plan gives for the period that charge pays for, for each credit used, counting only the credits the plan added for that period and rounding to the nearest cent (for plans bought on or after October 22, 2026; a plan bought before then keeps the old rule, even when its first charge comes after its free month); a renewal charge is refunded within 48 hours of the renewal if the plan has not been used since it renewed, using Request refund in Billing History on your account page. A refunded first charge or renewal ends the plan at once. An upgrade charge (the difference you pay to move from Plus to Pro) is refunded in full within 7 days of the charge with Request refund in Billing History. That refund does not end your plan: it returns you to the plan you had before for the time you already paid for, removes the unused credits the upgrade added, and, if your plan renewed at the Pro price since the upgrade, also refunds the part of that renewal that paid for Pro above the Plus price, including its sales tax. If the upgrade also switched your billing between monthly and yearly and your plan has already renewed on the new billing, you stay on that billing at the Plus price. A plan bought during your free month is first charged when the free month ends or on the later date shown when you pay, and that first payment is refundable within 7 days of it under the same credit rule; credits used during the free month do not count. Other plan charges are not refunded under these windows; the law may still give you a remedy, as the Consumers in Australia paragraph below says.

Chargebacks. A refund inside the windows above is made at once from your account page. If a chargeback is opened, the access that charge paid for is removed.

Consumers in Australia. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us, and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to choose a refund or replacement for major failures with goods. If a failure with the goods or a service does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the failure rectified in a reasonable time. If this is not done you are entitled to a refund for the goods and to cancel the contract for the service and obtain a refund of any unused portion. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage from a failure in the goods or service. The 7-day guarantee and the other refunds in this section are in addition to those rights. Nothing in these terms, including the words "final" and "not refunded" above and sections 9 to 13, excludes, restricts or modifies them. To make a claim, email hello@wiredtype.com with what went wrong; we answer within 30 days. The Care Team, our AI support team, can grant a claim under these guarantees. It never turns one down. A person at WiredType decides any claim the Care Team does not grant. Claiming costs you nothing: we bear any cost of a repair, refund or credit.

6. Intellectual property

The DISC behavioral model (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, Conscientiousness) was published by William Moulton Marston in 1928 and is in the public domain. Nobody owns "DISC" as a framework.

What is protected is everything we have built on top of that framework: our assessment questions, scoring algorithms, report content, graphics, illustrations, copy, code, interactive components, and the look and feel of the Service. All of that is owned by WiredType (or our licensors) and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service and your own reports for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share your personal DISC results socially. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, resell, sublicense, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

Our assessment questions, scoring method, report content, AI prompts, and code are proprietary: do not extract, reproduce, or replicate them, and do not use them to build a competing product. The full notice is at wiredtype.com/for-ai-assistants.

7. User content

When you take an assessment, chat with our AI coach, or submit feedback, you provide "user content" to the Service. You retain ownership of your user content. By submitting it, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display that content solely to operate, improve, and secure the Service, and to generate your reports. We will not sell your user content or use it to train any AI model, ours or anyone else's.

You are responsible for the content you submit. Do not submit content that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware. You may add people you know to your list on Together, the page that lists the people you compare with, and exchange details with people through your card. Keep what you add about another person on Together or your card to what you need to get along with them: do not include their health, beliefs, sex life, finances or other private details, and do not add anything about a person under 18 unless you are their parent or guardian. We may remove an entry that breaks this rule, or that the person it describes asks us to remove.

When you give us a photo to make a portrait, you confirm that it shows you or someone who agreed to let you use it for a portrait, and that you have the right to use it. Do not use a photo of anyone under 18 unless you are their parent or guardian. If you appear in a portrait you did not agree to, write to privacy@wiredtype.com, and we will remove it, usually within two business days. We may remove portraits, and stop anyone who breaks this rule from making more.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Service using automated tools.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our source code, scoring algorithms, or question bank.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute reports, assessment questions, or any part of the Service.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product.
  • Submit false or misleading information, or impersonate another person.
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, paywalls, or security measures.
  • Use the Service to harass, defame, or discriminate against others.
  • Use the Service for employment screening, tenant screening, credit decisions, or any legally regulated decision about another person.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or any code intended to disrupt the Service.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.

We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these rules.

9. Disclaimer

WiredType is a personal-insight product, not a clinical or professional assessment. The DISC model describes behavioral tendencies; it is not a medical device, a psychological diagnosis, a psychiatric evaluation, or an employment test. Our reports are for personal self-reflection and communication insight only.

Do not use WiredType to:

  • Diagnose or treat any medical, mental-health, or psychological condition.
  • Make hiring, promotion, firing, or compensation decisions.
  • Make legal, financial, or medical decisions about yourself or others.

EXCEPT FOR ANY WRITTEN WARRANTY WE EXPRESSLY GIVE YOU IN THESE TERMS OR AT CHECKOUT, AND EXCEPT AS THE NEW JERSEY CONSUMER FRAUD ACT (N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 TO -227), THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE, OR OTHER NON-WAIVABLE LAW PROVIDES OTHERWISE, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE EXTENT NEW JERSEY LAW PERMITS A WRITTEN, CONSPICUOUS DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES (N.J.S.A. 12A:2-316), WE DISCLAIM THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will meet every expectation, run without interruption, or give results that are accurate or reliable for a legally regulated decision about a person; that sentence describes the product and does not take away rights the Consumer Fraud Act or other New Jersey law gives you.

What New Jersey does not let us disclaim. We do not disclaim, and New Jersey law does not allow us to disclaim, liability for our own fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct, or for personal injury. We do not disclaim claims under the Consumer Fraud Act, and we do not ask you to waive the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act (N.J.S.A. 56:12-14 to -18).

Consumers in Australia. If you are a consumer in Australia, nothing in this section, section 10 or section 11 excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) or another law that cannot be excluded. Section 5 sets out those guarantees.

10. Limitation of liability

SUBJECT TO THE NEW JERSEY CARVE-OUTS BELOW, WIREDTYPE AND ITS OWNER, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES.

What does not apply in New Jersey. New Jersey law does not allow a seller to exclude or limit liability for its own fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct, or for personal injury. Those limitations do not apply in New Jersey. New Jersey also treats a limitation of consequential damages for injury to the person, in the case of consumer goods, as prima facie unconscionable (N.J.S.A. 12A:2-719(3)); that limitation does not apply in New Jersey to any sale of consumer goods. Claims under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act, N.J.S.A. 56:8-1 to -227, and the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act, N.J.S.A. 56:12-14 to -18, are not limited by this section. The remaining limitations in this section do apply in New Jersey.

Cap, as limited by New Jersey law. For claims that New Jersey law allows us to limit, our total aggregate liability arising out of these terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars ($50). That cap does not apply to our fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct; to personal injury; to a Consumer Fraud Act award, including treble damages and attorneys' fees under N.J.S.A. 56:8-19; or to a civil penalty, actual damages, or attorneys' fees under N.J.S.A. 56:12-17.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold WiredType harmless from a third-party claim, and from the reasonable attorneys' fees and costs of that claim, to the extent the claim arises from (a) your violation of these terms, (b) your violation of another person's rights, or (c) content you submit to the Service.

This indemnity does not require you to indemnify WiredType for WiredType's own fraud, gross negligence, or intentional misconduct, for personal injury caused by WiredType, or for a claim under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act or the Truth-in-Consumer Contract, Warranty and Notice Act that is based on WiredType's conduct. Those obligations are inapplicable in New Jersey.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not subject to arbitration (see next section) must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

If you are a consumer in Australia, the choice of New Jersey law does not take away the consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law, which apply despite it (section 67 of the Australian Consumer Law). You may bring a claim in the courts or consumer tribunal of the state or territory where you live, and the New Jersey forum in this section does not bind you.

13. Dispute resolution

Informal resolution first

Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@wiredtype.com and try to resolve the dispute informally. We will do the same. Most issues can be worked out within 30 days.

Binding arbitration

If informal resolution does not work, you and WiredType each give up the right to have the dispute decided by a judge or a jury in court, and agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will take place in New Jersey (or by phone or video at your request if you are a consumer). The arbitrator's decision will be final and enforceable in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class action waiver

You and WiredType agree that any claims will be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action.

Exceptions

Either party may bring claims for injunctive relief, intellectual property infringement, or small-claims-court-eligible matters in court instead of arbitration.

Consumers in Australia

If you are a consumer in Australia, the arbitration agreement and class action waiver in this section do not apply to you, and you may bring a claim in the courts or consumer tribunal of the state or territory where you live.

30-day opt-out

You may opt out of the arbitration agreement and class action waiver by emailing legal@wiredtype.com within 30 days of first accepting these terms, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your account email. A change to this section does not apply to a dispute that arose before the change takes effect.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and we change the date shown at the top of this page when we do. We email account holders at the address on the account at least 14 days before a change applies if it adds a fee to something you already have, raises the price of a subscription you hold, narrows a refund window, changes how a subscription renews or reduces what an active subscription includes, changes the arbitration or dispute terms in sections 12 and 13, shares your data with a new kind of company, or uses the data we already hold in a new way. An email about a subscription change also tells you how to cancel before the change applies. A change that would use the data we already hold in a materially different way also needs your yes, as section 11 of the Privacy Policy says. A change to sections 12 or 13 applies only to disputes that arise after it takes effect, and you can opt out of that change by emailing legal@wiredtype.com within 30 days of our email, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out". For other changes that reduce what you may do with the Service or a right you have under these terms, we show a notice on your account page when you next sign in and post it on the policy history page, at least 14 days before it applies, and we group these into at most one notice a quarter unless the law or the security of your account needs one sooner. Every notice says what changed and the date it applies. Corrections, clarifications, and changes that only add to your rights take effect when published. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and close your account before that date; a purchase keeps the refund windows of the terms it was sold under. A change to these terms does not end or reduce the Founder's Circle discount in section 4. This way of giving notice applies to changes we announce after October 22, 2026.

Every previous version is published, exactly as it read, on the policy history page, with a one-line note of what changed in each.
