Conscientiousness · one of the four pure types

C personality type (The Analyst)

“You check the details before you trust the conclusion.”

C is one of the four pure types in the WiredType model: Conscientiousness leading on its own. If C is your type, this page reads like a mirror. If you work or live with someone whose type is C, it shows you what that person is wired to do and what to say to them.

This page is the public profile of the C type. It is not your report. Take the free test to see your own result, and see the reports and prices for the full C report.

How this type works with each style

Written to you as the C. If you are the other person in the pair, read your own style's section for what this type needs from you.

DC and D (Dominance)

This pairing can produce work that is both fast and accurate, if the two of you manage the friction. The D-type pushes for a decision now. You push to check the evidence first. When the pairing breaks down, they stop waiting for your numbers and you stop sending them. They want an answer in minutes, and you want a few days.

What this type can say: “I will have my full analysis to you by Monday. If a decision is due sooner, tell me the date, and I will send the top three risks by then.”

IC and I (Influence)

You and the I-type sit at opposite corners of the DISC model, and it shows in meetings. They think out loud and get energy from the people around them. You think quietly and want evidence before you agree. In the productive version, they generate ideas and you test which ones will hold up. In the destructive version, they find you cold and critical, and you find them scattered and imprecise.

What this type can say: “I like where you are taking this. Send me the source numbers by Wednesday, and I will check them before you present. Then you will have answers ready for the hard questions.”

SC and S (Steadiness)

You and an S-type colleague share a measured pace and a preference for stability. The S-type brings patience and steady follow-through. You bring clear standards and careful review. Together, you can hand over work that seldom comes back with corrections. The risk: neither of you pushes for speed or change, so decisions can wait longer than they should.

What this type can say: “My notes are all about the draft. Your structure held up well, and your consistency is something I rely on every week.”

CC and C (Conscientiousness)

Two analysts in one room can go deep on a problem and still have trouble finishing it. You challenge each other's logic and check each other's sources, and the analysis gets stronger for it. Decide at the start which of you will say when the analysis is finished. Each of you would like one more source before committing, so the decision waits.

What this type can say: “Let's set a decision date right now. By then we gather the facts that would change the choice, and we decide on those. Does Thursday work for you?”
