What changes when you pay for a DISC assessment?
On WiredType, the free DISC test has five scenarios and shows your type and four scores. Essentials and Full add a 28-question assessment and more web report sections. Across DISC providers, question formats, report contents and published research vary, so check the assessment you plan to use.
Compare what is included before deciding how much detail you want.
Take the free testWiredType’s options include different amounts of detail.
The free result gives you your type and four-score chart from five scenarios. Essentials includes the 28-question assessment and three web report sections: Overview, Profile, and Strengths & Growth. Full includes that assessment, all 12 web report sections and a downloadable PDF.
Essentials and Full are one-time purchases. AI plans have separate subscriptions. Read the pricing page for the current prices and complete contents before buying.
Read the evidence for the specific assessment.
A longer questionnaire gives you more situations to respond to. A price or a question count alone cannot establish the reliability or validity of an assessment. Look for research that names the assessment, describes who took it, and explains what was measured.
WiredType’s methodology page explains how rankings become scores and types. Its scores describe the relative order of your four styles.
Check what each provider means by a free result.
Some providers offer a free summary and charge for a longer report. Truity’s DISC page, for example, offers a free overview with an optional paid full report. Read the result description and sample report before choosing.
If you want to compare different kinds of personality tests, check the framework too. The 16Personalities test uses its NERIS framework. Our comparison page explains the differences between that test, Truity’s DISC test and WiredType.
