D + C · one of the twelve blends

Dc personality type (The Architect of Results)

“Right. Fast. No exceptions.”

Driven and precise. Builds winning systems.

Dc is one of the twelve blends in the WiredType model: Dominance leading, Conscientiousness close behind. If Dc is your type, this page reads like a mirror. If you work or live with someone whose type is Dc, it shows you what that person is wired to do and what to say to them.

How this type works with each style

Written to you as the Dc. If you are the other person in the pair, read your own style's section for what this type needs from you.

DDc and D (Dominance)

The D-type respects your speed and trusts your data, which makes you one of the few people who can influence a pure Commander's decisions. But they will get impatient with your quality checks, and you will get frustrated with their willingness to ship work before it is fully finished. The tension is between their 'fast enough' and your 'right enough.'

What this type can say: “I am on board with the direction. I need until tomorrow to pressure-test one risk area. If it holds, we ship. If not, I will bring you the specific fix.”

IDc and I (Influence)

This is a clash of worldviews. You live in data; they live in energy. You build systems; they build buzz. You value being right; they value being engaging. The I-type will find your precision intimidating, and you will find their improvisation alarming. But when this pairing works, you produce work that is both compelling and correct.

What this type can say: “I appreciate the enthusiasm. Let me take your top idea and run the numbers. If the data supports it, I will build the case. If not, I will tell you what the data does support.”

SDc and S (Steadiness)

The S-type provides something you desperately need and rarely seek: the human element. They execute with the consistency your systems require, and they maintain the team relationships that your intensity erodes. But your pace, your standards, and your clinical communication can wound them deeply. They will not tell you. They will just quietly stop giving you their best.

What this type can say: “Before I share feedback, I want you to know that I value your work and your consistency. Here is one specific thing I would like us to adjust together. Tell me if you see it differently.”

CDc and C (Conscientiousness)

Working with another analytical mind is a relief and a risk. You finally have someone who shares your standards, speaks your language, and values evidence over opinion. The risk: two perfectionists in one room can create an infinite refinement loop where nothing ever ships because it is never quite right enough for either of you.

What this type can say: “We are both committed to getting this right. Let's agree on the quality bar now, so we know when it is done.”
