Add people
Your invitation links to your WiredType card, a page with your first name and the details you choose to show. Anyone with the link can open a public card. If your card is private, we ask you before we make it public.
How it works
- WiredType writes a short note for you, with your link in it, and you send it from your own email or app. WiredType does not email the people you add. Anyone already on WiredType gets your request in the app instead.
- Each person opens your card and takes the free test. It has five scenarios and takes about three minutes, and nobody has to create an account.
- Each person decides whether to compare with you. Their result stays private until they say yes.
- When they say yes, the comparison opens for both of you, and it is free.
Your comparison shows a map of where the two of you sit by DISC type, what each of you brings, where you may misread each other, how you may come across and what helps when you talk.
The quickest way is your own note. Send it the way you send anything else.
The note already carries your link and your code, so the invitation is credited to you however it travels.
- Copy
- Paste it into a text, a chat, or a post. The code is printed in the note, so it still works if the link breaks.
- Share
- On a phone, opens the list of apps you already use, with the note ready to go.
- Open in my email
- Opens your own email with the note filled in. Add the people you want, and they see it came from you.
First, take the free test
Your note tells people about the free test you took and asks them to compare results with you, so you need your own result first. The test has five scenarios and takes about three minutes.
Your note
It is written in your voice with your link and code in it. Change any word before you send it.
Your link Your code
Copied. Paste it anywhere you like.
Type a name and email
Type each person's name and email address. Add as many people as you like, then check the list. Nothing is sent from this screen.
Paste names and emails
Paste from anywhere: a spreadsheet, an email thread, a list you typed. Nothing is sent from this screen.
Every one of these works, one person per line or all run together:
- Jess Weller <jess@example.com>
- Name and address, the way most email apps copy them.
- jess@example.com
- An address alone. The name is taken from the address, and you can change it.
- Jess Weller, jess@example.com
- A comma, a semicolon or a tab between them.
- A copied spreadsheet column
- Each cell becomes one line.
We could not find any email addresses in that text. Paste a list with at least one address in it.
Upload a file
Excel, CSV, a text or Markdown file, or a contacts export from Outlook, Google or your phone. The file is read on your device.
A header row helps but is not needed. With no headers, the column where most cells contain an @ is the email, and a column of one or two words is the name. First and last names in two columns are joined into one.
If a file has several sheets, you pick the one that holds the people. Anything WiredType is unsure about shows at the top of the next screen.
Read on this device. Nothing is uploaded until you confirm the list.
Not sure how to lay out a file? Start from a template with three example rows: CSV template or Excel template.
Which sheet holds the people?
Choose from Google Contacts
Check the list before it goes out
Rows at the top need a fix before they can be invited. Uncheck anyone you want to leave out. The rooms you pick below take everyone in this list, and you can move anyone later.

Send it myself
WiredType does not email the people you add. Your invitation goes from your own email or app, in your words, and you can change the note before you send it.
