Make a short video
A short video works well for DISC because people recognize themselves and the people around them as you talk. Keep it to one style and one useful idea.
Every length follows the same order: name the style, say what people with that style bring and what helps them, give one thing your viewers can try, and close with the free test.
If you are a partner, say in the first few seconds that you earn a commission if people buy through your link, and keep that sentence on screen for the whole video. Turn on the platform's paid-promotion setting as well. If WiredType gave you a free report, say that too. If neither is true, you have nothing to disclose.
Talk about a style the way you would talk about a friend. Say what the style brings and what helps people who have it. If you tell a story about someone else, leave their name out unless they agreed.
Pick a length
- A 30-second video covers one style, one strength and one thing to try. It suits TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
- A 60-second video adds a moment from your own life when you saw the style at work.
- A 5-minute video explains the four styles briefly, then goes deeper on one, with a story and a question for your viewers. It suits YouTube.
The video outline tool writes all three for the style you choose, with the disclosure placed where it belongs.
