The workshop kit

Everything you need for a one-hour session: the agenda, what to say, a handout with a QR code people scan, and a follow-up note. Print this page or save it as a PDF.

You are not signed in as a partner, so the QR code below opens the WiredType free test. If you are a partner, sign in and the QR code opens your own page.

The agenda

0:00 to 0:05Welcome

Say what the hour is for and that results stay private. Partners say they earn a commission.

0:05 to 0:15Take the free test

Everyone scans the QR code on the handout and takes the test on their own phone.

0:15 to 0:25The four styles

Explain the four styles and that everyone uses all four in different amounts.

0:25 to 0:40Talk in pairs

In pairs, each person may share one sentence from their result that fit and one that did not, or just listen.

0:40 to 0:55One real situation

Pick one situation the group knows, such as a change or a deadline, and talk about how each style tends to read it.

Each person names one thing they will try this week.

What to say

Welcome

Thank you for coming. For the next hour, we will each find out our DISC style and talk about how different styles work together.

The test is free and takes a few minutes. Your answers and your result stay private unless you choose to share them. You decide what, if anything, you tell anyone here.

[Partners only] I am a WiredType partner, so I earn a commission if you buy anything through my link. You do not need to buy anything today, or ever.

Take the free test

Scan the QR code on the handout. For each scenario, put the four answers in order from most like you to least like you. Go with your first instinct.

When you finish, read the description of your type and mark one sentence that fits you and one that does not.

The four styles

DISC describes four styles. People with a strong D style often bring speed and a focus on results. People with a strong I style often bring energy and a gift for bringing people in. People with a strong S style often bring patience and loyalty. People with a strong C style often bring accuracy and careful thinking.

Everyone uses all four, in different amounts. A result describes how you tend to act. It never decides what you can do.

Talk in pairs

Find one other person. Each of you may share one sentence that fit and one that did not, or just listen. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.

Then ask each other: what helps you most when we work on something together?

One real situation

Think of a situation this group knows well. How might someone with a strong D style read it? How might someone with a strong I, S or C style read it?

What is one thing each of us could do that would help the others?

Close

Say one thing you will try this week. If two of you want to go further, WiredType's Compare shows each of you how the other tends to see things, when you both choose to share.

Thank you. Nobody needs to do anything after today.

Handout

Scan the QR code to take the free DISC test. It takes a few minutes, and you won't be asked for a credit card or any payment details.

Your answers and your result are yours. They are shared only when you choose to share them, and we never sell your data.

If you want one follow-up note with the links, write your email on the list at the front. It is used for nothing else.

The follow-up note

Send this once, only to people who wrote their address on the list. Fill in your postal address, and change anything that is not true for your session.
